Report a violation
Anyone can report anything here, including people without an account. Tell us the address of the post and what is wrong with it — that is genuinely enough to get it looked at.
The fastest route for each kind of problem
| What you found | Where to send it |
|---|---|
| Your photo or video used without permission | The copyright form— no account needed, and it collects the statements the law requires |
| Counterfeit goods, or a brand being impersonated | [email protected] — see trademark & brand use |
| Illegal content, scams, dangerous products, harassment, anything involving a minor | The Report control on the post, or [email protected] if you have no account |
| A price or product detail that is wrong | [email protected] with the product address — see how prices work |
| A privacy problem: your personal data in a post | [email protected] |
| A security hole | [email protected] — please read the testing rules first |
What to include
- the exact address of the post, comment or profile;
- what is wrong, in your own words;
- if it is illegal rather than merely against our rules, why;
- a way to reach you, so we can tell you the outcome. Reports about content involving minors are acted on whether or not you leave contact details.
What happens next
We confirm receipt, a person reviews it, and we tell you what we decided. A post may be hidden while we look. Where we act, the author gets a statement of reasons and can appeal; where we do not, you can ask us to look again. Both procedures, including the six-month appeal window and the EU out-of-court route, are set out in content moderation & appeals.
Aggregate numbers — how many reports we get, how many we act on, how many appeals succeed — are published in our transparency report.
Filing in bad faith
Deliberately false copyright notices carry liability under §512(f), and accounts used mainly to file unfounded reports lose the ability to file them. Making a mistake in good faith costs you nothing.
