Affiliate disclosure

Almost every product on Avahit links to an outside store through an affiliate link. If you buy something after clicking one, the person who posted it may earn a commission from that store.

You never pay more

Commissions are paid by the merchant out of their own margin. The price you see at checkout is the same price you would get by typing the store’s address directly into your browser. Avahit does not add fees to your purchase.

Whose link is it

Unlike most shopping sites, Avahit does not replace creator links with its own. When @someone posts a product, the affiliate link stays theirs and the commission goes to them, not to us. That is the point of the platform: your links stay yours.

How we label it

Every outbound product link carries three signals:

• A visible adlabel next to the product — on the feed, on the post page and on grid cards.
• The destination store’s domain, so you know where you are going before you tap.
• rel="sponsored nofollow" on the link itself, which is the machine-readable disclosure search engines look for.

Just as important: we only say it when it’s true. A store link becomes an affiliate link only once that store is connected to one of our affiliate programmes. Until then the same link earns us nothing, carries no sponsored attribute and no ad label, and the page says plainly that we earn nothing from it. Labelling every outbound link as paid would be simpler for us and misleading for you.

What we never do

We don’t overwrite anyone else’s affiliate tag, run no coupon pop-up, and our browser extension has no permission to run on store pages at all. Why that matters and how to verify it.

What we track when you click

Clicking a product link records the click so the creator can see how their posts perform. We store the destination, a coarse country, your device type and a one-way hash of your IP address — never your raw IP, never your name. Details are in the Privacy Policy. Raw click records are deleted after 90 days.

We do not verify the merchants

Creators choose which stores to link to. Avahit is not the seller and has no part in your purchase, delivery, returns or refunds — that contract is between you and the store. If a link is broken, misleading or points to a counterfeit, use the report button on the post and we will look at it.
