Legal notice
Article 5 of the EU e-Commerce Directive requires an online service to say plainly who is behind it and how to reach them. Affiliate networks ask for the same thing when they review a site. Here it is, in one place.
Published under Article 5 of Directive 2000/31/EC (e-Commerce), §5 of the German Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz (DDG), §5 of the Austrian E-Commerce-Gesetz and §25 of the Austrian Mediengesetz, and the French Loi pour la confiance dans l’économie numérique (LCEN). Monaco is not an EU member state; where EU rules apply because the service is offered to people in the Union (GDPR Article 3(2), DSA Article 2(1)), the contact points below apply.

Data protection

Representative in the Union under Article 27 GDPR: designated where the conditions of Article 27 GDPR are met; until then all data-protection matters go directly to the Monaco operator, who is the controller. You may lodge a complaint with Commission de Contrôle des Informations Nominatives (CCIN), 12 avenue de Fontvieille, 98000 Monaco or with the supervisory authority where you live.
Responsible for content
The Director of Publication (directeur de la publication), reachable at [email protected], is responsible for Avahit’s own editorial content — price guides, the price report and the methodology pages — under §18(2) of the German Medienstaatsvertrag (MStV) and Article 93-2 of the French law of 29 July 1881 on the freedom of the press, where those rules apply. Posts by creators are third-party content that we host; how we handle reports about them is set out in content moderation & appeals.
Legal representative in the EU
Article 13 of the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) requires a provider without an establishment in the Union to designate a legal representative there. Until one is appointed, authorities and users reach the operator directly at [email protected], the single point of contact under Articles 11–12; an appointment will be published on this page.
Hosting
Avahit runs on servers rented from Contabo GmbH, Welfenstrasse 22, 81541 Munich, Germany, in a data centre in France. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which provides DNS, TLS and the reverse proxy. Every company that processes data for us is listed on subprocessors.

Product links are added by creators and by our catalogue import, and lead to stores we do not operate or control. We remove a link as soon as we learn that it leads to unlawful content — use the Report control on the post or write to [email protected].
What Avahit is, legally speaking
Avahit is a hosting service: creators publish product recommendations and we store and display them. We are not the seller of any product shown, we do not take payment for goods, we do not ship anything, and we do not handle returns or warranties. Those are matters between you and the store you buy from.
Prices, availability and product descriptions come from the stores themselves and are re-checked on a schedule. Every product page shows when we last verified its price. The store’s own page is always the authoritative source at the moment of purchase.
Most product links are affiliate links, which is disclosed on every post and explained in full in the affiliate disclosure.
Consumer dispute resolution
Avahit does not sell to consumers, so there is nothing to arbitrate about a purchase — a dispute over an order belongs to the merchant. For disputes with us about moderation decisions, EU users may use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body as described in content moderation & appeals.
