Creator Terms

These terms apply to anyone who posts on Avahit with an affiliate link. They sit on top of the Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines; where this page is more specific, this page wins.

1. Your links and your commission stay yours

Avahit does not rewrite your affiliate links, does not substitute its own tracking identifiers into them, and does not take a share of what a merchant pays you. When someone taps your product, they go to your link with your parameters intact. That is the product, not a promotion.

If we ever introduce platform-level affiliate links — for products posted without a creator link, or for merchants where we hold the programme ourselves — we will say so on the post, and it will never silently replace a link you supplied. Any revenue-sharing arrangement will be a separate agreement you opt into.

2. You are the merchant’s publisher, not ours

Your relationship with Amazon Associates, Awin, CJ, Impact, ShareASale, Rakuten or any other network is yours alone. We are not a party to it, we do not receive your commissions, and we cannot fix your account with them.

This matters because network rules bind you here as much as anywhere else. You are responsible for:

  • keeping your programme approvals current, and only posting links for programmes you are actually accepted into;
  • following each programme’s own disclosure wording where it demands particular text;
  • respecting rules on price display. Amazon in particular does not allow prices to be shown from stale data, so prices for Amazon products are refreshed through their API rather than by scraping, and historical price charts are not built for them;
  • not using a merchant’s trademarks, logos or brand name in a way that implies they endorse you, and not bidding on their brand terms in paid search to drive traffic here.

3. Disclosure is not optional

We label affiliate links automatically, and that label is a floor rather than a ceiling. If a brand paid you, gifted the product, lent it, or gave you free access, write it in the post. US endorsement rules treat a gift as a material connection exactly like a commission, and unclear disclosure is the single most common reason a creator account is terminated by a network.

Do not disable, obscure, contradict or joke away the disclosure. Do not write “not sponsored” on a post that earns you commission.

4. What you promise about your content

  • You made it, or you have the right to publish it — including any music, fonts and stock imagery in your video.
  • Merchant photography is used only where the merchant permits partners to use it.
  • Anyone recognisable in your content agreed to appear in it.
  • Claims about a product are accurate. “Best price”, “clinically proven” and “lasts forever” are statements you have to be able to back up.

5. The licence you give us

You keep ownership of everything you post. To run the service, you grant Avahit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, transcode, cache and display your content on the platform, in feeds and search results, in the automatically generated share cards for your posts, and in the embeddable storefront widget you enable yourself.

Two boundaries: we do not licence your content to third parties for their advertising, and we do not use it in paid promotion of Avahit without asking you first. The licence ends when you delete the content, apart from copies in backups that age out on their normal schedule and content others have saved to their boards, which is how any social feed works.

6. Your data, your audience

Click analytics for your posts are yours to see and export. Follower lists are not sold and not shared. If a brand wants to work with you, they contact you directly — we do not broker your audience.

7. Payments

Avahit does not currently pay creators. Commission is paid to you by your networks under their own schedules and thresholds; questions about a missing payment belong to them, not to us. If we introduce paid features — boosting a post, a brand subscription — the price and the terms will be shown before you pay, and taxes will be handled through the payment provider.

8. What we may do about your account

We may remove a post, limit an account, or terminate it for the reasons set out in the Community Guidelines. In every case except deceptive spam at volume, we tell you what happened, on what ground, and how to appeal — see content moderation & appeals.

Practices that put the whole platform’s network access at risk end an account on the first occurrence: cookie stuffing, forced clicks, link hijacking (see no hijacking), counterfeits, and fabricated discount claims.

9. Leaving

Delete individual posts at any time, or the whole account from settings. Deleting the account removes your posts, your media files, your comments and your boards, and unsubscribes you from every email. Your commissions from past clicks are unaffected, because they never went through us.

10. Changes and contact
